Minecraft whitelist vs enforce-whitelist
Helpdesk
Adding a whitelist to your Minecraft server allows for a private gaming experience, blocking unwanted players from joining the server. The option is most useful when you want to play only with your friends or when you work on the server and you don’t want players to join while the server is still online.
In order to activate the whitelist via the in-game chat, you need administrator permissions.
If you do not know how to do this, please follow this tutorial.
Turning the Whitelist On
- Go to your Minecraft Server Panel and make sure the server is ON.
- Type in Console or in the In-Game Chat to activate the whitelist.
- Press Enter on your keyboard.
NOTE: The players that are on the server when the setting is activated, will automatically get whitelisted.
Adding a Player to the Whitelist
- Make sure the server is online.
- Type in Console or in the In-Game Chat , replacing <player_name> with the player’s name.
- Press Enter on your keyboard.
